## The trend

The Chipmunks Dance is a three-person TikTok routine named after Alvin, Simon and Theodore, the singing chipmunk brothers. Three friends line up shoulder to shoulder, and each one takes a turn at the front for a few counts of spins, arm swings and hip pops before sliding back into the line.

It runs on a sped-up, chipmunk-pitched version of "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)", the 1984 Dead or Alive hit. The choreography is usually credited to the ICM Triplets (@icm_triplets), who posted it in April 2024 tagged #thechipmunks and #rightround. In autumn 2026 siblings, roommates and cheer squads brought it back, many in red, blue and green tops.

## How it works

1. Add three photos: One photo per person: middle, left and right. The middle dancer opens the routine, then left and right take their turns up front.
2. Let the AI dance: Pick Short, Full or Full HD. The AI recreates the line-up, the four handoffs and the finish with your faces. We email you when it's ready.
3. Save and post: Your 9:16 MP4 already has the trend sound on it. Save it, post it on TikTok, Reels or Shorts, tag #alvinandchipmunks and switch on the AI-generated label.

## The moves, second by second

- The line-up: All three stand in a row, hands on hips, the middle dancer half a step forward. Nobody moves on the first beat.
- First handoff: The left dancer cuts to the front, turns their back to the camera, puts both hands behind their head and shimmies.
- Second handoff: The right dancer takes the front with wide arm swings and a grin at the lens, while the other two keep a small bounce behind.
- Back to the middle: The dancer who opened returns to the front, pumps both fists and pulls a face for the camera.
- One more solo: The left dancer jumps back in for a quick extra turn: knees bent, hands low and wide, eyes on the camera.
- The finish: The line closes up and all three rush the camera. The dancer in the middle throws both arms up on the last beat.
